Diode Detector Radio Frequency Pickup

Very simple circuit, The idea to pre-bias the detector diode, is to make it much more sensitive at low energy signals.
It draw very little current, so a tiny 1.5V cell can be used.
If you play with transmitters, you dont need the battery and diode to gnd. just short that diode then.
use more or less windings and diameter for the pickup coil depending of area and frequency you want to measure,
two turns, 2-3 cm diameter is very good for 200-500MHz
Diodes must be good for the frequency

hold the detector coil at exactly same distance to the radio circuit you want to uptimize, then adjust it for max signal level.
